    Told they offer walk in covid vaccinations. When we got there my husband and I were told we would have to wait 45 minutes. Advised to call for appointment which they offered on Fridays or Saturdays. Called next day for appointment two days later I’m still waiting for a call back. I have now booked elsewhere!!! I was only attending this chemist as I drove passed it on my way home!!! I have moved my husbands medication to another chemist as I am sick of them getting it wrong or it not being ready when we need it.

    Dear Patient I am sorry for the experience that you have described in your review. By way of a response, we do offer a walk-in service for Covid vaccinations. We also deal with prebooked appointments from patients that have booked through the National Booking Service and our own Local Booking Service. Booked appointments would always take precedence over walk ins however patients that do walk in would always be given an indication of how long the wait would be or the option of booking a time slot on another day would be given. To confirm we run Covid clinics Monday - Saturday and that is reflected in the booking slots that we issue on the National Booking Service. Since the covid vaccination service commenced on the 3rd October 2024, we have vaccinated in excess of 1000 patients and so many of them were returning customers having been vaccinated during previous Covid campaigns. Many patients during the course of the vaccination programme have commented positively and shown great satisfaction on the experience that they have received and what a seamless process it was. They have promised to come back again. Patients were being vaccinated every 5 minutes; in order to reduce waiting times even further for the many appointments that we dealt with, we did a lot of the administrative preparation in advance to help contribute to the smooth running of the Covid clinic. I am extremely sorry your experience was not like the vast majority of our patients that have attended our service. We log all incoming calls as a matter of procedure and we use that as an audit trail especially if we need to refer back to one. Unfortunately unless you can provide me with the date you called and your name, I am unable to respond to the comment that you made about not receiving a call back. Also with regards to your husband's medication, I am sorry that you felt it necessary to move to another Pharmacy however it is a shame that you have not provided any details around your comments which would allow me to investigate.     I have been waiting in a queue to ask what has happened to my Wifes prescription. i wa promised a call back on a previous call which i had waited foe 20 minutes, but they never called me back after waiting for 80 minutes. So i called them and waited over 90 minutes on the phone i decided they were not answering me but putting me in a queue at caller number 3 then reduced to 1, and ws then waiting for the 90 plus minutes. This pharmacy should be restricted from taking orders they cannot handle.

    Dear Mr Bonney We spoke on the 29th October 2024 regarding your review and I appreciate the time you took to explain your concerns further. Following this, we have implemented measures to ensure that there is not a repeat of this 1. We are in the process of bringing in statistics to see how long it is taking for patients to get through to us. This will help us to adapt better to the needs of the business. 2. All staff have been advised that any call taking longer than 5 minutes, they must advise the patient that they will call back having taken a detailed note of the nature of the enquiry. This will ensure that the line is not blocked for other patients trying to call. 3. A nominated senior staff member will quality check each call and action taken by the Pharmacy to ensure that it is at the level that the management team expects. Following the review left by you, we carried out testing on the line and on average the wait time was a few minutes, however that does not detract from the time you waited where your call may have been at a busy time. I do except that it is not acceptable and I hope that the measures outlined above assures you that we have taken your comments seriously.     Amazing every time our family needs to visit. This pharmacy is the best by far in the area. I go out of my way to use this one. Always helpful and caring. Even used to offer to bring the prescriptions out to the car and offered a cup of tea while you waited! 🙌🏼
