  1. Review titled Dissatisfied

My wife & I have used this Pharmacy for the occasional items when on holiday in Bury St Edmunds. Yesterday I came in to ask for some advice from the Pharmacist, the person on duty was extremely rude! I felt that it was far too much trouble, and couldn’t be bothered ! I noticed he was very off with other members of the public who had been served before me. I’ve always had a good service from the staff when visiting before.. What’s happened? Perhaps this gentleman is just a Locum and won’t be there if we visit again. Regards Mike

Dear Mike Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, and I apologise that on this visit you didn't receive the patient care we strive to provide. My name is Nick Cooper and I am the owner of Croasdales. We are here to provide our patients with a healthcare service and that includes providing advice, we wouldn't want any of our patients to feel as though they are too much trouble. I have spoken to our team following your comments, as I wouldn't want any other patient to be made the way you felt upon your last visit. I hope you feel you are able to use Croasdales again during any future holidays to Bury St Edmunds. Should you wish to contact me further regarding your visit, please email me on Nicholas.cooper1@nhs.net Kind regards Nick

  2. Review titled Responding quickly

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was on my last insulin cartridge and it was cracked. I then made contact with Croasdales Mount Farm who came to my aid to provide me with a fresh pack of insulin cartridges on the same day I messaged them. I would like to thank the manager of the pharmacy and her wonderful team for their help in sorting this out quickly for me. Absolute lifesavers.

  3. Review titled Great staff, but pharmacy overwhelmed

Rated 1 star out of 5

While I want to praise pharmacy staff for their effort it appears that it running over its capacity. In my instance I need to contact pharmacy every time repeat prescription is issued for them to start processing it. Pharmacy worker confirmed that they will not be processing it unless you call or come for it, which requires 2 trips just to get what you have been issued on repeat prescription. It also appears that even after a call to start issuing pharmacy is not able to confirm whether they would have medicine ready for collection. In one instance i needed to come 4 times to get repeat prescription. My advice would be to try different pharmacy in town to try and lift a load from this one.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I apologise you had to return on multiple occasions to collect your medication. We do have a request form on our website, which we encourage our patients to use, when you place your order with the surgery you can then notify us using this form, once the surgery has issued your script we will download it from the cloud, we then ask for 24 hours to enable us to put your prescription together, this gives us time to order any stock if needed. If you do not have access to the internet, you can ring us at the point of ordering your prescription, we will then record your request and download your script from the cloud once your GP has issued it. Unfortunately it is not physically possible for us to automatically prepare all prescriptions as they are uploaded to the cloud, we would be drowning in bags to be collected and we would be working 24 hours a day. Often patients don't collect their items for weeks, sometimes not at all, we would not have the space to store these, and it would be a waste of stock, therefore not financially viable. The pharmacy sector is suffering hugely from lack of funding, causing hundreds of pharmacy closures across the country. As a result we are not in a position to employ further staff or increase the size of our pharmacy. We would be very grateful and encourage patients to contact their local MP to push the issues pharmacies are being faced with on a daily basis.
