I’m 83 years old and have two repeat prescription drugs that I order through my local gp surgery who send the prescription to the chemist for delivery to my home. These are invariably not delivered on the designated day after me waiting in all day for delivery. If I run out of my medication I then either have to wait a further three days for the next delivery date or go to the pharmacy to collect them. If I do this I have to wait always for up to ten to fifteen minutes before they can find my prescription then wait until the chemist dispenses them. This week I waited ten days and two delivery days went and I still didn’t receive my medication. I went to the pharmacy to enquire why I didn’t get my medication delivered to be told that last Fridays delivery was delivered on the Thursday because they were closed on Good Friday so I asked why I didn’t get my medicine on Thursday then. I was told that they didn’t get my prescription from the doctor in time. I asked why I didn’t gets the prescription on the next delivery Tuesday then and was told very rudely to take it up with the gp surgery. This meant I was not going to get my medication until the following Friday. Eleven days after it was ordered. I asked if I could collect while I was there and was told I would have to wait until the chemist dispensed it or collect it later. I waited ten minutes for it to be dispensed. The assistant was very rude and unhelpful throughout this process. I have hypertension and ocular hypertension so cannot miss taking my medication for these problems and was left without my medication for a couple of days due to the inefficiency of this pharmacy. It’s always chaotic and disorganised when I visit this pharmacy.

Messy and disorganised inside, utterly disgraceful. Staff unhelpful, constantly “losing” 3-4 items off prescriptions despite everything being ordered over the phone at the doctors and sent digitally over. After a back and forth between them and the doctors surgery a “missing” prescription magically reappeared. Staff have openly admitted to there being no consistent form of filing. Some staff are filing by forename and others by surname. Supply issues and when asked on an eta for medication they replied with “It might arrive tomorrow it might arrive next week.” Praying we’re in the minority with our issues with this pharmacy but other similar reviews indicate some of these issues have been ongoing for years.
