After making an enquiry for stronger Ibuprofen following a hamstring tear. I was 'belittled' in front of a pharmacy full of customers. My enquiry was around the purchase of 500mg tablets instead of my usual 200mg of which I've been taking two. On my request, the very rude counterperson immediately replied "No". There was no context to this, so proceeded to ask whether she meant she was not going to serve me. What she really meant is that there were no 500mg tablets but instead it was 400mg. Bearing in mind this was at the top of her voice in a pharmacy with around 4 others customers in at the time. I then asked when I could have a pack of the 400mg tablets at which point she replied "No" again. Yet again there was no context so assumed she refusing to sell me the 400mg tablets. She then went on to explain that if I have the 200mg tablets I could continue to take two tablets up to three times a day. Which I'm fully aware of, however; I wanted to take the least amount of tablets possible rather than taking two at a time. Alongside this, whilst she was extremely condescending. I also needed to collect two prescriptions for my partner and step-daughter. However; because I didn't know when these were sent in (later established as 23rd and 28th March), I was told this could take quite sometime (Understandable). However; considering this was for the contraceptive pill, I didn't think it would take that long considering I also managed to establish the date they were sent. After several minutes, further customers came in with some pretty strong requests in terms of medication but seeing them served before me, for what I would consider a pretty basic request is appalling. 18 minutes later I was finally given my prescriptions after seeing 5 people come and go who arrived after me. To be more specific, the counterperson (distinguishable by her bright pink hair) is rude beyond belief. Thanks to this person, we will be taking our prescriptions elsewhere.
