  1. Review titled Inappropriate behaviour of staff member.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

My GPs online ordering system was down and I had run out of my medication I need for my mental health. I went into Hampton Hill pharmacy and the lady at reception said she would order the prescription from my GP and it would be ready in a few days. When I went back to the pharmacy, a different woman served me. She said they hadn't ordered my medication because I hadn't ordered it for two months and she said I wasn't taking it as prescribed. I explained that I order each months supply a week or so early so I have an emergency supply and I'd been taking that supply while trying to order the prescription from the GP directly on numerous occasions at this point. I need my medication as I suffer from mentally ill health and without it, I could be in danger and very vulnerable. The lady insisted I wasn't telling the truth and said to dial 111 or contact my GP again. Fortunately I got through to my GP and explained the situation and they then immediately sent the prescription to Hampton Hill pharmacy. When I went in to collect it, the counter staff didn't know where it was. I was nearly turned away again when one of the staff members realised the lady who refused to give me it had taken my prescription of medication alone to the back of the pharmacy by her desk. She knew I was there asking for it and just seemed to want to create additional obstacles. My point is that someone else in my situation may have been hospitalised in these circumstances and there was no reason whatsoever for this staff member to take that attitude towards me. My previous pharmacist would give me a week's supply in any kind of issue with a prescription because they understood the seriousness of my not having it. I'm quite upset by the whole situation and also quite confused as to why I wasn't taken seriously.

  2. Review titled Counter staff need more training on confidentiality

Rated 1 star out of 5

Every time I pick up my HRT medication the staff say something along the lines of "Do you have an HRT certificate?", effectively announcing my medication to everybody in the shop. They could just as easily say "Do you have a pre-payment certificate for this medication?", which will give them the information they need, whilst preserving confidentiality. Please train your staff to do this!

  3. Review titled Some of the staff need privacy training

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Unfortunately some of the staff mention the name of your prescription medicine unnecessarily in front of other customers. This has happened to me several times, and I've been in the queue when it has happened to others. They need privacy training to help them be more discrete.
