    I booked in the NHS app for a COVID jab my appointment was confirmed and a text message sent. This was for Hobbs Chemist Marlowe Park Strood. I arrived for my appointment and was told that after 1pm no one was available to do the jab. Just a young man behind the counter, no other person in sight. I had taken time off work. It would have be polite to call me and to let me know that this was the case. The young man behind the counter said they have spoken about this to NHS but still booking are being taken when no pharmacist is available. As a dispensing chemist I would have thought that a pharmacist should be there in opening hours especially as its next door to a doctors surgery that is open till 6pm. this makes is difficult for patients to get their prescription having to travel to other Chemists. I was very annoyed as having to take time off when not needed, this cost me wages as well as time.

    A prescription was sent to the pharmacy for a rash I am extremely worried about for steroid cream and antihistamine tablets. They claimed not to have received it but the surgery dispensary said it had been sent. I gave them my NHS number and they couldn't find it. Said system needs updating. They told me to phone to see if it is there today but after reading reviews I will not bother. I will try calling in as I live close by but not expecting any results from what I have read.

    This pharmacy seems to have several problems that need addressing. They seem to be permanently short of staff meaning it is very difficult to get a reply on the telephone. They ask you to ring before collecting a prescription, but even if you can get through it very often is not ready, when I went to collect one today at their suggested time it still was not ready even after I had waited 30 minutes. Their system of storing ready prescriptions is shambolic and the staff often take some time to be able to locate them leading to long queues. Definitely needs sorting out

    There is no continuity of staff. Although attached to the surgery the communication between them is poor. Although my husband and I have repeat prescriptions they frequently do not have the medication in stock. They are very slow to process prescriptions . They frequently forget to put the repeat prescription in the bag. You have to check every time you collect.

    I have been using Hobbs to dispense a batch prescription for many years. Until recently, it worked perfectly but has now become virtually unusable. They rarely answer the phone, so it makes ordering a prescription very difficult. When you are lucky enough to make contact and arrive to pick up the prescription, you have to join a long queue. When it is finally your turn, you find out that your items are not yet ready and you have to wait quite some time for them to be dispensed. I was once told that one of the items was not available and I should call again after the weekend. All this was after giving several days’ prior notice. It has turned into an incredibly time consuming and frustrating process. I will be looking to see what the alternatives are.

    For the last 6 months, i have experienced dreadful problems. The pharmacy phone is left off the hook all day so it is impossible to order your repeat prescriptions. When you visit in person, the queue is out of the door. No shortage of staff, but nobody seems to know what they are doing, and even prescriptions pre ordered, are never ready. The wait is usually 30 minutes to 1 hour. This is outrageous. What has gone wrong? It used to be a good pharmacy.
