  1. Review titled Very poor service.

Attended the pharmacy to pick up a prior ordered repeat prescription. Arrived whilst the pharmacist was on his break, but was only ten minutes till they returned, so wasn’t too concerned. I then had to wait because my order needed to be checked and picked. At around 25mins I asked the pharmacy assistant why my order was taking so long as others had been and gone within minutes, only to be told the pharmacist was prioritising walk in flu jabs over dispensing, despite me arriving 20mins prior to the walk ins. I waited a further 15 mins and asked how long it would realistically take, only to be told the assistant had no control over the pharmacist… after 40mins I left empty handed.

  2. Review titled Surprise, shock, horror prescription not ready!!!

Rated 1 star out of 5

Diagnosed as type 1 diabete in June 24, this is the 4th time I’ve put a repeat prescription in and the 4th time it’s not been ready. The new excuse now is “it must be lost in our system, we had a computer glitch”. I could hear this being told to the 4 people in front of me and it was the same thing I was told a month ago. If they don’t blame the computer, they blame the Dr’s for not putting it through. I am only in my 40’s and can’t stand the thought of this for the rest of my life. This pharmacy needs to get their act together, these prescriptions are lifesavers to some people and you just can’t carry on providing such a shoddy service. A prescription should take 3 maybe 4 days not 2 weeks if it’s even ready then. I have asked now for my prescription to go elsewhere.

  3. Review titled Problems almost every time you visit…

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Michael - Posted on 28 June 2024

I fully appreciate that staffing levels these days are very low in every industry, but better organisation is required. Today I went to collect my medication to be told I can’t have it because pharmacist is on break… I drove here specially on my break from work and now won’t be able to get my BP tablets until Monday meaning I’ll be without medication over the weekend, as I won’t be able to come back later in the day as I was advised. I understand staff members have to have breaks… I suggest you simply shut the door for lunchtime cause what’s the point of being open if you can’t get medication?!!!!!

  4. Review titled Bad service

Went to collect medication, they found it and then another shop worker came out and said to the lady who was serving me, no you cannot give that out as the pharmacist is on lunch for another 35 minutes! No explanation at all just left me standing there. I am not sure why if a pharmacist has already bagged up the items I could not be served.

  5. Review titled Prescription Process

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Stephen Horner - Posted on 10 May 2024

I have been using the Wroughton Family Practice as my GP Surgery since 2012 and by default the Jephson's Pharmacy next door for my prescriptions. I have a requirement for daily medication (not my choice, I have a chronic illness) and the most unpleasant and anxious period of my busy routine is visiting the pharmacy to collect my prescription every month. Consistently there is a problem of not ready, out of stock or not received (my NHS app tells me that my GP has approved the repeat prescription). I have asked my GP surgery if I can have a quarterly prescription to reduce the amount of times I have to visit Jepson's pharmacy in Wroughton. Unfortunately their policy only allows them to issue a monthly repeat prescription. Can this be challenged? I accept that the staff are working extremely hard, as I am in my full time job, but I fear there is no effective coherent system between the customer, GP surgery and Jepson's pharmacy. Almost every time I make the torturous journey to collect my prescription I have to wait in a queue (in most cases in excess of 20/30 minutes only to be told that my prescription is not ready and can I come back later (I live 3 miles away and work out of town so my opportunity to visit the pharmacy is limited). I am not the only one, I often hear the same polite excuses delivered to customs in from of me. The staff are all very friendly and polite which masks the real issue that there is an inefficient process that is detrimental to good customer service. I would be willing to discuss my concern in more detail if required.

  7. Review titled Excellent service given

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have just had the most courteous and professional service any one could ask for. I had my blood pressure taken and due to it being high I came away with a monitor for 24 hours. On my return they sat and discussed the readings and then escorted me to the doctors reception to arrange an appointment. I would like to thank the staff for being patient and very professional.

  8. Review titled Awful Pharmacy

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Elaine - Posted on 04 October 2023

Jephsons pharmacy has really gone down hill since it has been taken over. I put in a repeat prescription on the 1st Sept 23 and did not receive my item until the 20th Sept 23, bearing in mind this was for very important heart medication (Beta Blocker) so if i had of run out it could of been serious, but the staff just don't seem to care. I went in 3 times for this medication only to be sent away and told to come back the next day over and over, each time waiting in a queue and taking up to 30-45 mins each time. This isn't the only time this has happened so I have now lost faith in them and gone elsewhere. I'm now using an online repeat prescription service, who have been excellent and on time. The atmosphere in there is awful and the whole place is outdated and needs a revamp and a clean, what a shame.

  9. Review titled Unorganised, Unprofessional, Unfit for purpose

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by Matthew R D Currington - Posted on 04 October 2023

In the past 12 months, I've had to revisit Jepson Pharmacy multiple times to collect my medication as it wasn't ready or they simply couldn't find it, the last two months I had to visit 3 times before successfully collecting, resulting in almost 2 weeks from the date of prescription request to the collection date. Wait time to be served, regardless of the time of day, seems to be a minimum of 20 minutes, resulting in at least an hour wasted each month (when you factor in the multiple wasted trips to collect). I have, on several occasions witnessed staff chatting to people in the shop whilst there is a queue of people waiting to be served. I don't necessarily blame the staff though, as there appears to be little leadership or examples being set. There is a definite habit of telling customers to come back in a few days whenever there's a problem. Both my partner and I have long-term heart conditions that require regular medication so we need a service that can be relied upon, as I'm sure most regular pharmacy users also need. This pharmacy used to be run very well, with the odd delay or issue, but these were always the exception, not the norm, it has totally flipped now and it's a rare exception that a transaction in there goes smoothly. We have given Jepsons a lot more chances than they deserve as we really wanted to support our local pharmacy, but they have made this impossible now, they are simply not fit for purpose any more, which is a great shame.

  10. Review titled Worst pharmacy I ever used

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 03 May 2023

Wait one hour while others come in after me and get thier prescription when I query the wait I get a smirk and shrug of the shoulders, twice I wait an hour and still they can't supply all the prescription and give an owing note, I call to ask if item is ready they said yes then when I go to collect they don't have it, they told me another time doctor did not send prescription through I check in doctors they insist it did go through after I wait another 45 minutes in jephsons and leave with nothing, this is the worst pharmacy i could imagine, totally useless service and I never been messed around so much,I'm having my prescription sent elsewhere now and can't believe how jephsons has a 3.5 star rating, its not even worth zero.
