We are all encouraged to visit a pharmacy if possible for simple issues rather than making a GP appointment. Makes sense. If you need to do this at Kamsons in Hailsham you will not be able to use the consultation room between 12:00 - 15:00 as it is used by staff to eat their lunch and listen to music. I was advised to call back after 15:00. Unbelievable!! Why call it a consultation room when it is in fact a staff room first and a consultation room second. Is this the case with all Kamsons Pharmacies?

Dear Ms Brush, I am sorry you are unhappy with the service provided by our pharmacy. Our Hailsham pharmacy is very busy for the size of the branch. As a result, all available surfaces are used for dispensing the large volume of prescriptions. In most of our pharmacies, our teams have separate areas for breaks however this is not a possibility at our Hailsham branch. The team try to schedule prebooked appointments for the morning or afternoon however, should a patient require a private consultation over the lunchtime period, this should be accommodated. I have discussed your experience with the pharmacy’s Area Manager who is investigating a solution going forward which allows our teams to have a break without impacting patient access to healthcare advice.
