  1. Review titled Left Feeling upset and angry

Rated 1 star out of 5

When it first opened this was a lovely personal , efficient, Pharmacy which was much needed in the village. The owner was friendly and approachable. Sadly now it has grown in size, the owner no longer an active part of it, and is no longer the lovely experience it once was. A recent experience has left me feeling very upset . I will now be looking to register elsewhere which will be convenient but sadly necessary.

  2. Review titled Upsetting Staff Member

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Seen by the pharmacist very quickly. She was very helpful and understanding, I couldn’t have asked for more. However one member of staff on the desk was extremely rude over the phone, to the point of reducing the patient to tears. I could not believe how this member of staff conducted themself and as such, I would not return to the pharmacy again.

Efficient service got my prescription sorted in no time at all. Had a need for a prescription at short notice as working away from home. Cheerful and accurate service. Always busy but never any hold ups.

  4. Review titled Ageist

Rated 2 stars out of 5

For the last 4 days I have what feels like an oncoming ear infection. My ear is slightly swollen and there is a fair amount of pain in my left ear. When going to the pharmacy I explained my situation to the lady on the front desk. After she listened to my problem she went back and explained the situation to what seemed like the senior member of the pharmacist so she could advise. I overheard the lady say I was too young (I’m 30 years old) to prescribe something it will just go in a week so didn’t even look in my ear. I was then told that the service to look at what could be an ear infection was only for children. This goes against the advice on the NHS website. I was told to just take paracetamol and if it hasn’t gone in a week to go to the doctor. All of this advice without even taking a look at my ear let alone looking inside it with equipment like stated on the NHS website. I feel like I’ve been a victim of ageist discrimination and the senior pharmacist made me feel like I shouldn’t have been there despite specific advise from the NHS website saying a pharmacist can take a look in my ear and prescribe something if the ear is swollen and or fluid coming out which it has both. I’m appalled by the service. The same pharmacist misdiagnosed my sons condition a few months back to and after having a doctors appointment and being prescribed something for my sons condition, when I went to collect the prescription (off the same senior pharmacist) she had lots of choice words about how the doctor is wrong and this wasn’t the write prescription. It turned out she was just wrong and didn’t like what the doctor had prescribed over her initial advise. We used the prescription medicine and the problem was fixed. Overall I’ve had multiple bad experiences with this particular senior pharmacist who has treated me poorly on more than one occasion.

  6. Review titled Consistently outstanding.

This pharmacy filled a much needed gap in the village, and has since become a hub for the community. They have always been warm, welcoming, professional, knowledgeable and utterly inclusive. During Lockdown and Covid, they led the pharmaceutical response for the local area, providing essential reassurance. As with any service provider, things will never be 100% right 100% of the time, but it's unfair and unrealistic to expect that, and it says more of the humanity of people who bare grudges for minor errors than it does of the Service itself. "No one makes a mistake on purpose." A credit to the team, and very welcome!
