This Pharmacy has been used my myself and my family since they started their business in the premises on The Ring as it is called. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they are always friendly and helpful. A new text message service tells you that your prescription is ready for collection which is perfect. Carry on with the good work and your lovely team of people.

In the summer of this year I was forced to change my chemist due to the very poor service I was receiving at current one even after being with them for more than 10 years. I moved to Lodge Pharmacy and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and approachable staff. Two weekend’s ago whilst picking up my routine meds I asked to speak to the Pharmacist for advice as I had been experiencing cold like symptoms since mid-November and now it had landed on my chest. I carry an typed A4 sheet with my meds, medical conditions and allergies and showed it to the Pharmacist and asked him to advise what cold remedy I could try. He read my note and asked a couple of questions then advised me to ring 111 as I needed urgent medical intervention as he believed I had a chest infection. I won’t bore you with verbatim notes of what ensued on the call to 111, but suffice to say that within 10 mins of speaking to a doctor a prescription was waiting at the chemist for me. After 5 days of taking standard antibiotics my GP then sent me to A&E/MAU for further tests, XRay etc at which point I was then prescribed the exact antibiotics for the strain of infection I have. I have been into the chemist to thank the Pharmacist in person. Thank you are two small words which mean a great deal.

I have been a customer of this pharmacy for two years and have never encountered any issues. The staff are always helpful, very knowledgeable and hard working. I don't usually write reviews but feel compelled to due to abuse I witnessed them receiving on my last visit by a waiting customer. The pharmacy is clearly a extremely busy one (their great service is probably responsible for this) and it's only natural that you would have to wait some time, but the wait times were certainly reasonable. For anybody complaining about wait times here, pay a visit to city hospital where its extremely inefficient and staff are rude. I had my height and weight taken at 9.30am for a appointment with a doctor, only the doctor didn't arrive until 11.30am and see me until 3.30pm. 6 hrs after my appointment time! Patients need to learn to appreciate their local pharmacy when you have other nhs services that are so diabolical!
