    First I need to make it known that I am a local resident of Malton North Yorkshire, I support the local shops. I will not be using the pharmacy any longer. On three occasions I have had terrible service by the two ladies who work there, I will not name and shame them as it’s not in my character. On three occasions they have questioned me about the medication that I needed, it’s very rude, third time was in front of other customers that they must of heard every word. The lady who served me was aggressive and rude, whatever happened to great customer service? Unfortunately I will not support this business, every time I went in I wasn’t greeted with a warm friendly smile, on top of it I was questioned, I felt like I was being interrogated. If a person needs a certain medication I feel it shouldn’t be questioned all the time. I went in there to buy a medication for my mother who had major knee surgery, hence why I went to buy an otc pain killer as my mother cannot drive or walk, so I decided to help my mother by getting the stuff she needed. The staff really need to shape up and get in depth training on customer service, I cannot be dealing with such horrible hostility. The way the staff carry on with customer the terrible service this pharmacy won’t last long, either they shape up or they need to be seriously spoken to by the owner or whoever is on the highest point. This pharmacy has now lost a loyal customer all due to bad service and terrible attitude.

Patient safety is always of top priority to us at The Pharmacist. For all over the counter sales of medicines, our procedures ensure that our pharmacy team ask various questions to check the safety and suitability of any medicines requested. This helps our pharmacy team ensure that the medicines requested or recommended are being using appropriately and patients are properly advised regarding treatments for their conditions. Once again we apologise that in this instance, our safety questioning caused upset. Being an independent owned family business, a warm friendly and caring service is extremely important to us, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss this further as we are always keen to address any issues and improve our service for our patients and local community.
