Review titled Do not give correct advice as advertised regarding Shingles
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 December 2024
I visited on Sunday 15th December with symptoms that I knew were Shingles as I have had it in the past. Wanted confirmation and prescription as advised for antivirals. However, I was told it definitely was not shingles. Spoke to my doctor on Monday 16th to be told it definitively was Shingles and immediately prescribed antivirals as they have to be given within a certain time of symptoms. Put people at risk as I went to work in the Public Sector on the Monday. Just what is the point? Are they being paid for this non existent service. I could have been treated earlier, been in less pain if I had received the service that is advertised on NHS. I am really suffering with the Shingles at the moment.

Review titled Sound advice

I visited the pharmacy as I'd had what I suspected was sinusitis for nearly two weeks and everything is tried wasn't working. The pharmacist talked through my symptoms with me, checked the other medication I take and then recommended antibiotics. He was able to give me a prescription and they've really helped! Highly recommend this pharmacy, very busy, but always friendly and helpful, amazing team!

Review titled Blood pressure help
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Gill - Posted on 11 October 2024
My Doc hadn't sent my blood pressure medication over, the pharmacy were able to check my prescription and see that the Drs had sent it to the wrong place. They phoned the other pharmacy and got it returned. By the time I'd done my shopping, my tablets were ready. Saved me a trip to another shop, nice staff, good service.

Review titled Fixed my problem

I visited this chemist on the weekend, I had ordered my tablets from the Drs, but they hadn't sent the prescription, so I was now out of tablets. The chemist staff took my information and showed me how to raise a 111 emergency referral, she advised that this would go to the pharmacist and allow them to give me a supply. They also reordered my tablets for me. This was very helpful, without this medicine, I suffer from terrible pain and would not be able to sleep, or function properly. Kind and friendly team, thank you!

Review titled Great pharmacy, super helpful
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I really cannot believe the bad comments here, this pharmacy is super busy and is one of the only ones locally that will actually bother to order things in. My normal pharmacy refused to order a special skin cream in, but Morrisons Chippenham did and I was able to get the prescription 24hrs after asking if they could order. The safe are always busy, but obviously always doing their best for customers, people need to learn to be more patient and kind! The pharmacists and team always give good advice and make you feel better with the advice they give you. Thank you to this pharmacy for making me feel better, having a friendly face and for taking the time to look out for your numerous customers.

Review titled Absolutely rude pharmacist
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Cheryl - Posted on 05 August 2024
I said the next time we had a bad experience as had many I would do this. Had my meds sent as urgent to the pharmacy. Not all meds were in which ok happens. However the attitude of the resident pharmacist as on many occasions was at best couldn’t care less. He is often rude or surly and it takes for someone to snap at him or give a bit of attitude for him to remember we are Infact customers who use their services very often then he becomes nice again. However we are sick of this happening so often. My husband picked up said urgent meds tonight and even after being told by an assistant the remaining meds would be in tomorrow he asked the pharmacist if this was the case he was simply just told my husband no and turned his back to walk away with no explanation as to when the meds would be in. When my husband challenged him and said what he had been told he asked who told him, there is no way the pharmacist did not hear his colleague tell my husband this but even if he didn’t where on earth did he think my husband got this info from? I just don’t understand why he can’t be happy or helpful and a smile every now and then wouldn’t go a miss either. I have worked in a pharmacy myself and even on difficult days our pharmacist/ manger always put our customers and their needs first with a kind word and always a smile on his face. Morrisons pharmacy used to be a happy place with happy staff and apart from a two or three staff who are helpful and friendly to myself or husband the whole atmosphere and experience is quite at best depressing at times and sometimes feel our custom would be better elsewhere. I really don’t want to tar the entire staff with the same brush but the resident pharmacist is the rudest of all the staff. I get they have a job to do but when I do go in their my pain levels are sometimes quite high I really don’t need someone being awkward or rude so I do snap. Shouldn’t happen I should be viewed and treated as a valued and loyal customer I have used their services since they first opened and I have a minimum of 6-7 items each month not to mention my husband and 4 children have had their scripts put through over the years and some still do. All we ask for is some courtesy and maybe a smile or a friendly attitude, is that too much to ask?

Review titled Prescriptions and advice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Claire - Posted on 02 October 2024
This pharmacy is brilliant, every time I go in, they seem to be busier than ever! I get my medication on a 2 monthly basis and after a couple of times of me not giving long enough for the surgery to send and the pharmacy to get it ready, my medication is always ready when I go in. I'm always greeted with a smile and the staff are nice. The ladies on the counter always have something funny to say! The pharmacists and the pharmacy team work so hard despite everything. I've read in the papers about the pharmacy first services, I cannot get over how they are able to do these and serve all the patients that they do! This is an amazing team, ready to help, give great advice and a smile, thank you!

Review titled Terrible Pharmacy
Rated 1 star out of 5

Worst pharmacy going! They are rude and not helpful. Never have anything ready for collection even if you wait a few days to collect. They then say give us 2 days and it will be ready and when you get there its not ready and you either have to go back another time or they make you wait 20-30mins for them to do it. Absolutely awful service. For example I've had to wait 7 days for a prescription i should have been taking immediately after my doctors appointment.

Review titled Worst Pharmacy Ever
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Mr Anthony John Coast - Posted on 23 May 2024
I visited Morrisons Pharmacy on Friday 17 May with a view to purchasing some pain killers. I was asked why I needed the tablets and what my symptoms were. Now I appreciate the chemist must be careful with issuing painkillers but I am an adult not a vulnerable youngster plus why should I be discussing my symptoms with a non doctor in front of a queue of people. I made it clear I was unwilling to enter into this discussion and said I had never experienced this sort of questioning at any other pharmacy, at which point I was told why don't you go to another one then. And that it was her job to question every customer regarding why they needed medication. I have noticed on many occasions queues of people taking ages to get served I can now see why. I assume the staff have been told to question every customer but there are ways to approach customers and a little politeness would not come amiss. I feel sorry for the people who have no choise but to visit this particular pharmacy but its not somewhere I will ever visit again

Review titled Awful Customer Service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Archie Park - Posted on 29 April 2024
Visited Morrisons Pharmacy on 27/04/24. On entering I was asked can I help. Said that I have a long prescription and gave my name, lady went off and came back and said it would be 20 minutes, I replied that I had shopping to do and that I would come back. On my return to pharmacy I was served by a different lady who asked my name and off she went returning rather quickly stating that I had received a prescription 6 weeks before and that I should have two weeks left. I stated that I did, she then went on to tell me that I was not getting my prescription . I said I will speak with the doctor on Monday. I have been using this pharmacy for over 20 years and have always collected my repeat prescriptions in plenty of time. In two weeks time I will be receiving Radiotherapy for my cancer, should I have to tell them everything so they can see that I am planning ahead. No good reason was given for their refusal and there were others waiting to get served.
