I recently changed pharmacy following continued issues with the pharmacist local to me and thier attitude. My husband recently died and I just didn't have the resilience to deal with the abrupt attitude and difficult lead chemist. Morrisons pharmacy is so much better, the staff genuinely care. They are patient, they want your medication/prescription with you promptly and they explain why issues may occur. This means travelling as someone with a mobility issue but I would rather take that extra discomfort physically and know I'm taken care of by the staff. Really would recommend to my family and friends.

Review titled Uneducated staff left my daughter with a perforated ear drum

I was referred to the pharmacy by my GP for my daughter's blocked ears. The pharmacist told me that she was not good at checking ears as she had not been trained properly. She told me my daughter's ears were fine and that she had a sore throat. That night my daughter's ear perforated. I saw the GP the next day who confirmed both my daughter's ears were badly infected. I picked up the antibiotics today from Morrisons and let them know that staff need to be trained properly. The staff member treated me like I was lying and was incredibly rude. The pharmacist apologised, but the other staff members behaviour was terrible. I was made to feel like I was overreacting.

Friendly staff but so very slow,don’t seem to have any sort organisation, dr sent a emergency prescription,and 4 hours later I went instore and had to still wait 40 mins for it to be done

I was refused night nurse I have all the symptoms on the box but would not give it to me I then had to go to another chemist and purchased this no problem. This was very distressful as I was feeling so rough there is no reason for this kind of treatment. This needs looking into as there are so many complaints

My father has used this pharmacy for many years. His health has recently severely deteriorated and we were advised by the social care nurse, hospital staff and community nurses that his medication should now be issued ready sorted. I asked at the pharmacy today how we arrange this and was told they were no longer providing this service. I explained the severity of Dad's situation but was still refused and told to use a pharmacy over 10miles away. It is unlikely they will deliver to my dad. Appalling service.

It is impossible to get through to the pharmacy by phone anymore. I use the right number, I double checked, I even went in once and asked one of the ladies behind the counter, whether the number is still correct and I was assured it was. My medication wasn’t there before I left to the continent. I returned now and wanted to make sure that my medication is there. I tried to phone again and it is ringing and ringing and ringing and no one is lifting the receiver. I checked online again. It is the right number. I used my mobile phone instead of the landline and tried that. Also not working. I’m so frustrated. I might have to go in now again to ask and if I’m lucky, my medication is there. If not, I have to repeat it next weekend . I don’t know what is wrong, I do that for many, many years and the problem started about one month ago that I can’t reach someone over the phone. Normally I’m really happy with the service I received there. But not being able to reach them by phone is a nightmare for me .

Review titled Refused to dispose of unneeded medication

I took several pens of out of date insulin to be properly disposed of. The assistant refused to take them saying they did not take sharps. I explained that these were unused out of date pens which had no sharps attached. After speaking to the pharmacist she still refused to take them. This sort of behaviour by supposed professionals is why medications end up down the sinkcontaminating our environment. The assistant then mumbled something about giving me a phone number. At this point I left seeing no point in continuing talking.

This pharmacy has deteriorated over the last 2 years to the point whereby it needs shutting and overhauling. There needs to be generally a more efficient system of checking off prescriptions and then finding the bag of drugs. It appears disorganisation is un helped by lack of room. This however is no excuse for the lack of staff training in every manner. You need someone to smile and say hello at the desk. To treat you as a customer with respect. To take you to one side if the conversation is more private. Not shout at you as you leave saying’ what was your medical exemption again?’ How about the front of house actually stops ambling around as if it is all a new experience? What if the pharmacist followed a dress code that did not involve jeans and a shirt that barely covers the stomach? This pharmacy has nothing to be proud of. You are meant to be in a caring profession- so listen do not tut. You are meant to be running a business so turn things round quicker. Just be nice!

I have used this pharmacy for the past 2 years and have never ever experienced what I have today. The First Lady was so unhelpful and unkind so I asked to speak to someone else who proceeded to laugh at me when I told her why I needed my medication- which is mental health reason. I spent the whole phone call crying, begging for my medication like I wasn’t a human being like these lady’s. I am still mortified by this service and I will never ever be stepping foot in Morrisons again let alone getting my needed medication from this pharmacy and I would highly suggest anyone that is thinking of using this service!!!

The service is so slow you are given no information how long you might wait all you hear is your name being shouted due to you still waiting. When you eventually get to collect your prescription you are greeted with a comment about how expensive it will be. My heart sinks when I have to collect a prescription here and I try to avoid at all costs
