Review titled Covid Vaccine centre with no vaccines
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 09 November 2024
Turned up today, for covid-19 vaccine, for my nephews vaccination, after booking through NHS, to be told that they don’t vaccinate children, and they have no vaccines. Apparently they’ve told NHS, but still advertising they’re a vaccination centre……

I am sorry for your experience, however it is important that you understand we rely on stock being received from the NHS, if the stock does not come it is unfair to take it out on our staff. They are hard working local people they try their best, yes we do advertise as a vaccination centre and are always happy to serve the community but we do need supply of the vaccine which did not come through no fault of the staff. Kind regards Vijay Mistry Pharmacist

Review titled Bad customer service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Alexandra - Posted on 12 August 2024
Very bad customer service: I didn't even had a change to ask about how long a prescription might take when the pharmacist cut me off telling me they haven't got the prescription my GP sunt it to them and I have been asked to come back in the morning whilist they reveived it within 5 min I called my GP and showed them the barcode. I don't mind waiting until this is been preppted cause in the past I used to came back în 15 20 min, the thing that made me feel the service is totally unprofessional is that she cut me off în the middle of the sentence and showed me the door basically whilist I was waiting with a toddler in pain and needed for that antibiotic asap. Not talking about the fact that I was left to wait to be served for 10 min whilist 3 people were staying behind the till. Totally unprofessional and a very bad customer service in the past also with a patronising attitude towards customers . I would strongly recommed a customer orietented trainig asap. Its not the first time I sau how they are treating customers and this time wasn"t even a queue. 3 of them sitting behind the till whist I was waiting with a 2 years old with fever and pain whitout even been told they are a bit busy and they will be with me în a few moments

Dear Alexandra, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, I am sorry that you had this experience, I think there must have been. misunderstanding in that they must have thought it was perhaps a repeat prescription which takes three working days and them not realising that you had just visited the doctors for an acute prescription. I will be having a meeting and retrain them in how to deal with queries , occasionally the prescription is missed out by the doctor not hitting the 'send' button or other IT issues. Once I have had the opportunity of speaking with the relevant staff I will revery to you can you kindly send me your details via email to esomheadoffice@gmail.com Kind regards Vijay Mistry Superintendent Pharmacist

Review titled Very poor and unprofessional service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Mrs Y - Posted on 12 July 2024
Went in for my repeat on 11.07.24. The person who served me stated that she has printed the prescription and will take 10 to 15 min although I was the only one there at that time. There were three staff and a pharmacist. Suddenly there was an argument between two colleagues in front of me about who is going to do whose job and one stated “ that is not my job…” It was so unprofessional!! Then I was left there waiting for at least 15 minutes whilst other people who came in after me got their medications and then one of the two colleagues who had the argument earlier asked if I was waiting for my prescription and the person that served me earlier couldn’t be bothered that I have waited there for so long!! It is clear disregard of customer waiting for the medication whilst they deal with each others disagreement about their individual responsibilities. Due to this so unprofessional behaviour, I have decided to switch to another pharmacy.

Dear patient, Thank you for your feedback. Prescriptions waiting time can easily be 15 minutes, there may appear to be no other patients in the pharmacy, however they must already be dealing with other patients that may have just popped out or they could be dealing with complicated prescriptions. However the argument is not acceptable, I will be personally identifying these members of staff to discuss the incident. I can only apologise for the poor experience. Please accept my reassurance that this will not be happening again, I will be undertaking a meeting with the entire team which may well result in disciplinary action. If you can kindly email me directly with your contact details to esomheadoffice @gmail.com I will respond soon. Kind regards Vijay Mistry Superintendent Pharmacist

Review titled Unorganised and unfriendly place
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Steven - Posted on 25 June 2024
The prescription was issued 8 days ago but the staff indicated "they received nothing yet".Waited for half an hour for an investigation, but once they confirmed they found it, there was another half-hour wait with no explanation. After questioning, they said it would be further wait for an hour, as the pharmacist was at lunch. Decided to pick it up the next day, but it still wasn't ready, had to wait for the pharmacist to review it and sign it. Many older people were waiting at the same time with similar issues, some were frustrated.

Dear Steven, The prescription although approved by your surgery may not have been sent directly to us. We have to track your prescription and retrieve it from the cloud before its can be dispensed. Our staff are good at present we are are already working on today's prescriptions. You must take into account the various stock issues that are still in existence to today's date everything takes time. Many times we ring suppliers and the phones go unanswered. The pharmacist certainly never has an hours lunch that would be a sheer luxury at most they have a 15 minute break which in itself is hard enough when you start work at 8.30 am they too are human beings and need to have their lunch. I am sorry for your experience and will feed this back to our staff to minimise waiting times Kind regards Vijay Mistry Pharmacist

Went for a pre-booked COVID booster. Was told booking was unnecessary then had to provide full details again. The vaccination area was untidy and litter strewn (have photo), and the manner of the vaccinator was sloppy and unprofessional. Won't be going there again.

Dear patient, Once again we had used a locum vaccinator which has been a bad idea however we will not be using this vaccinator anymore but have our own in house trained staff to provide this service which has run much better this season. Kind regards Vijay Mistry Pharmacist

Review titled Extremely disorganised
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Allan Bennett - Posted on 04 October 2023
Today my wife and I attended for pre-booked 10:15 and 10:20 COVID booster appointments. We found and joined a long queue of patients. After a while the phamacist asked who had a booking, and brought us and a few others to the front of the queue. When it was our turn the pharmacist was unable to find either my or my wife's details on his tablet despite the fact we had our confirmation text messages with the booking numbers, so could not give us the jabs. Now the NHS app will not allow us to re-book because today's appointments are on file.

Dear Mr Bennett, I must apologise for this we had booked a locum vaccinator who although experienced did not perform as expected. The vaccinator was not the pharmacist - we have decided not use this vaccinator in future but better have our own staff to provide this service. I would once again like to apologise for the service that you had received from the vaccinator however it reflected badly on our pharmacy. Kind regards Vijay Mistry Pharmacist

Our phone lines were down with BT, we have since then changed to VOIP phone systems and we have two handsets if one is busy the second line is available. We do however have to prioritise the patients that are already in the queue first. Our phone lines are being managed quite well and being answered in a prompt manner now, apologies for the phone lines as we had no control over BT.

Review titled Chronically understaffed
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 11 March 2023
Lovely people but severely understaffed. Assistants there feel helpless. Impossible to call via phone. Have to wait in a long queue twice for prescription. Once to ask about it and then again to queue to collect it. I’d avoid to relieve the pressure on them.

We are painfully aware of staff shortages and have advertised for trained staff it is very difficult to recruit when the entire NHS seems to be understaffed, we are trying the best we possibly can, Thank you for your understanding.
