Contrary to most of the reviews my husband and I received excellent service from The Paddox pharmacy. We went this morning to the walk in clinic for our Covid jabs and the reception we got could not have been more pleasant. Everyone we came into contact with was very polite friendly and helpful.

I've had reason to go to the pharmacy several times over the last year and each time has left me feeling that they just don't care. The accuracy of other negative reviews are true. They generally run prescriptions two days behind receiving them and if you go earlier are made to feel like you are being unreasonable, rather than any apology given. So I left it two days this time, only to be told to return later that day and it should be ready, and as if its part of process no apology. I urge the pharmacy to consider requesting permission to get the prescriptions down to same day be that overtime or additional staff, they seem able to work them with a 2 day lead almost like clock work so if they got them to that state they could just maintain the same effort while supporting the unwell individuals who need the medicine. Also I'd like to see them be more customer facing and less customer hating which is generally how this pharmacy feels. Sadly I won't see if they take my advice as I won't be returning and I hope others vote with there feet. Although sadly for some that need these services that simply isn't possible.

Had reason to ask for advice a few times recently, each time the response has been very swift, honest and informative. At a time when health professionals are getting a bashing from the public, this pharmacist is first rate and working flat out to help us all.

After waiting 20 minutes I was told they could not do my prescription until next Wednesday "we are far too busy". To say they are rude would be an understatement. Never again will I take a prescription there.

I went to collect a prescription yesterday which had been sent over from my Drs yesterday afternoon to be told it wasn’t ready. I explained I was in a lot of pain & asked if I could wait for it to be told no (it was close to them closing). I explained I would be back this morning to collect. I returned this morning to be told it still wasn’t done so I asked if I could wait for it as I really did need it urgently & was told no it will be a while before it is done. I then asked what was the difference in me walking in with the prescription & handing over, to one that they had already got & asked if I’d have got it yesterday if I had done this to be told no because the person was on their own!! Surely if someone walked in with an emergency prescription they should / could do it. They then gave me my prescription back to take elsewhere (I should’ve been clever & walked to the back of the queue to then be served to see if that worked). The staff are rude, unhelpful & never happy. Needless to say I went to a different pharmacy (Lloyds) & the staff couldn’t be more helpful & really pleasant & even smiled (it isn’t difficult). I asked if I could have them as my nominated pharmacy they confirmed I could & within 5-mins it was set up with my Drs. I would discourage anybody to use this pharmacy.
