  1. Review titled Poor standard of hygiene

Rated 1 star out of 5

Attended for flu vaccine yesterday. The standard of hygiene was poor. I did not see the person administering the vaccine wash his hands, he didn’t wear gloves or clean the vaccination site. I had to repeat my age several times to him. He inputted my details on the computer and then directly afterwards gave the injection. I almost walked out and wish I had. Hopefully everything will be ok but I will not be returning. If this service is to be offered proper training and facilities should be available.

  2. Review titled awful practice

my wife and I have been patients with the Grasmere Surgery for over 50 years and we could not have received better service or treatment anywhere. on Friday the 4th of September 2024 we were both booked in to have our 6th Covid and Flu Jab at the peak pharmacy in leigh health centre. we decided to rebook my wife’s appointment as she had taken a cancellation appointment for a cataract operation 3 days earlier. i went for my vaccinations to peak pharmacy and it was horrendous. both people for prescriptions and those for vaccinations were packed into a space no bigger than a house living room and all had to wait in the same queue. ok some waiting is to be expected but to pack those waiting for prescriptions in the same cramped space was the most monumentally inconsiderate thing I have ever seen under the name of health care. it was an atmosphere totally against all the covid advice we have received from the nhs. moreover I was the only one wearing a mask. a mini pandemic would not be a surprise outcome and having avoided public spaces and transport for so long made me really upset and disappointed at the arrangements made at the pharmacy. could I suggest that the vaccination service be moved to a better clinical environment in the health centre.
