  1. Review titled Excellent Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

went to pharmacy & lucy took my bp as it was very high, offered me a monitor for 12 hours and after she read the results i got a phone call to go to a&e. After seeing doctors i was sent for a scan then an MRI scan and was diagnosed with having a tumour on my front lobe brain. After been seen by my own Gp previous to this visit to the chemist and having high bp Not once did my Gp show concern even though i was having dizzy spells and constant bad headaches. Thanks to Lucy and Pickfords Pharmacy having this service i now know what my symptoms were showing. Luckily the Tumour is non cancerous. I would like to thank Pickfords for showing such urgency in my case and for the excellent service they give.

We put our prescription in last tues we left it until the following monday to collect. Just been today to be told it is ready but can not have it because the pharmacist has not checked it. I asked if he could do it now.She said he is not here. So much for 48hr turnaround. When McGills ran it it was deliver in 24th terrible service.

  3. Review titled The Pharmacy was promising an excellent service

Since Pickfords have taken over the much vaunted and promised service has become broken and disjointed ,. On the open day launch we were told to look forward to great things, but alas you have some great loyal staff who have been consistently let down by the company . A classic example is the inconsistencies in suppy and processing of scripts. Last month the local surgery had a computer issue so was given a paper script on producing at the branch to be dispensed whilst I waited after a few minutes was told the Alendronic acid tablets were not in stock and could give no idea when the would be available I asked would they be able to obtain them and deliver them to be met with A firm no So retrieved the script and went across to the the local branch of Rowlands handed the script over it was prepared and dispensed in under 5 minutes they did not raise any concern over supply issues. A further prescription was sent from our GP on 03/10/22 I called in on 10/10/22 to collect after the prescribed 7 day wait to be told again one item was not in stock but was due in that day when asked said would deliver that day because it was needed urgently, alas another broken promise we tried to telephone the following day only to be told all lines were busy to send an E-mail. We have now obtained the item. The lack of telephone acces is a very disturbing development. We have in the past had to question the attitude of the pharmacist for supplying a different item and needing to obtain a letter from the GP's surgery to tell her she did not have the authority to change a prescribed item .
