Review titled Awful through and through at all levels
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 March 2025
Went in for ADHD and asthma meds 3 times. Told the prescription was filled when it was only half, asthma inhalers constantly not I'm stock. Awful. Bad staff. Even worse management. Prescription constantly not filled or mismanaged. Unacceptable amount of unstocked meds or missed prescriptions for Important meds. An absolute travesty of a pharmacy. Needs gutting completely and fire all staff. Especially unhelpful staff that tell me I'm wrong and can't possibly conceive that their systems wrong, the computer systems are even worse than the staff.

I asked to wait for 10 min, I waited for 15 min then then they said now pharmacist is on break for 30 min and I have to wait again for 30 min pharmacist know that I am the only person there waiting for medicine and pharmacist gone out in front of me. This happened 2 times . The medicine is due today and they don’t know the importance. I don’t recommend the pharmacist.

Review titled Amazing service
Rated 5 stars out of 5

We needed an emergency supply of medication while on vacation. The pharmacist on duty could not have been more helpful, despite it being a busy Saturday morning (22nd June 2024) She made time for us, made phone calls and told us what to do to ensure we got what we needed. She was professional, personable and a credit to the pharmacy. Thank you for your outstanding assistance!

Review titled Needlessly rude!
Rated 1 star out of 5

Needlessly rude and unhelpful staff, which baffles me when working in a public place! You're going to encounter the public, being kind goes with the role! Went this morning, Covid jab, asked at the counter where I should wait, one member of staff blanked me and walked away, another angrily gesticulated was on the phone and person at the front counter, loudly huffed, shrugged shoulders down, heavily sighed and pointed snapping "just wait there". Sorry to have bothered you, in your role on front desk! Wasn't even the end of the day, first thing in the morning, can't blame a long working day on despicable manners. Needless! Supposed to be helpful, not making people feel they are in the way and bothering you by using your services.

Review titled Poor Service

Rude staff members. Emergency prescriptions are apparently not aloud if you’ve already had one. Arrogant attitude when asking about getting an emergency prescription for medication that is required to keep me alive. To the pharmacist it clearly isn’t very important. Customer relations training clearly isn’t a thing.

Review titled Communication and Empathy Lacking at Rose Street Pharmacy
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 21 November 2023
On November 21, 2023, I visited Rose Street Pharmacy at approximately 9:30 pm to collect a previously ordered medication, Tresiba (a long-acting insulin), vital for my health management. Upon arrival and after some initial searching by the staff, I was informed by one of the dispensers that the pharmacy was experiencing supply issues with this medication. This information was both surprising and concerning. As a patient, particularly one managing diabetes, timely communication about medication availability is crucial. I inquired why patients were not proactively informed of these supply challenges, as such knowledge would have allowed me to consult with my doctor and seek alternatives before facing an emergency situation. This lack of communication, I pointed out, could potentially endanger patient safety. The response I received was that the pharmacy, due to its busy nature, could not contact individual patients regarding this issue. Consequently, I was advised to contact the emergency helpline 111 as an alternative solution. While this advice may have been technically correct, the manner in which it was delivered left much to be desired. The staff's approach lacked the empathy, concern for patient safety, and professionalism I would expect from medical professionals. Their attitude conveyed a sense of irritation, making me feel more like an inconvenience than a patient in need of assistance. Furthermore, this incident does not appear to be isolated. A review of public forums reveals numerous accounts echoing similar experiences, suggesting a pattern of behavior at Rose Street Pharmacy where patient care seems to be overshadowed by business needs. In light of these experiences, I urge Rose Street Pharmacy to consider implementing more effective communication strategies, especially regarding medication shortages. This could include group notifications to affected patients, rather than individual contacts, ensuring that everyone is informed in a timely manner. Improving this aspect of service could greatly enhance patient trust and safety. Additionally, fostering a culture of empathy and professionalism among staff could significantly improve the patient experience at this pharmacy.

Review titled Awful service.

My experience over this weekend has finally made me choose another chemist. I ordered my repeat with them in good time for the bank holiday, but when I went to collect my pills on Saturday was told they hadn’t received it from the GP’s. Fair enough, so contact 111 for an emergency prescription. Which I duly did. I called Rose Street to check if they’d received the request, and was then told it was a referral prescription I needed and to contact 111. Again I went back to 111, who were brilliant, and assured me the ‘referral’ had been sent through and I shouldn’t have any more issues. When I later rang the pharmacy to check if the medication was ready, I was told the referral had not come through and they could not prescribe my medication, as the pills I take aren’t deemed as requiring an emergency prescription!!!!!!! Despite them quite clearly being able to see they’d been dispensing the same medication to me for the last few years. Now 2 days later, as I cannot be without my medication any longer, I have contacted Tescos pharmacy, have gone through the same process ie 111 online, completed the emergency prescription form, and they have dispensed my medication without any issues at all, and couldn’t understand why I’d had such a problem!!!!!!!
