I took my prescription to them as it they are near the surgery. I was given 2 items and told to come back for the third. Asked if i could get it from a nearer chemist but told not. I would have preferred to have been told before they gave me the other items and gone to Kelsall which is a third the distance

Have complained to Rowlands Pharmacy Superintendent on three occassions over the last five years that I have needed both regular items and occassional emergeny items for cancers. On the first, a gentleman did phone me - two months later ! - to tell me that if I did not like their system of making me wait up to a week while their 'hub and spoke' system of dispensing took place and that my my expectations of receiveing new emergency pain killers within 24 hours was simply not feasible and had never been, I should go somewhere else. (Where when Tarporley is an isolated rural town with many miles to the nearest other pharmacy?) The other two times I have been ignored, never recieving any acknowledgement - which may well explain the 'never mind the customer' culture in this pharmacy.. The second problem that I complained about is that this shop rarely answers the phone. Needing to either receive my tablets - that are now a month overdue - thats right its taken them a month all ready - or to get the script back to go elsewhere, I tried to telephone them yesterday afternoon. After 4 minutes without the phone being answered it reverted to fax. This morning, between 9 am and 12.30 I tried twice and again no one picked up and it switched off or reverted to fax. I have just phoned again with the same result. When I compained in the shop at Easter about this situation I was told that (1) they don't have time to answer peoples question (2) they 'are busy' (£) they expect me to go in to ask such a question even if I am in my 80s and have to scrounge lifts to do so. Sadly, the people of Tarporley are utterly fed up with the continual staff changes that occur her. Just as you feel you have someone who knows the way to deal with patients problems they leave or are moved and we are left with the incompetants.

Great staff all ways polite and helpful cart fault them hope they stay untouched and left alone and carry on with their good work .
