So due to the roundabout congestion i arrived 3 mins later. I said I'm late but the lady on the reception stated you're 5 mins late. This was at 7.33 am but she insisted that according to her timer on her computer it showed 7.35 am. Yes at that time it was 7.35 am as we were talking for the last 2 mins. She explained that as the slot is only for 5 mins the health care assistant will not take me in for blood test. I agreed as I could see another patient perhaps who was after me waiting. I requested if I could wait and if someone doesn't turn up then I can be served. The receptionist was adamant that I will not be given the chance of blood test as I missed it. She offered me another time at 1.25 pm. Now I'd be at work but also this blood test was fasting so it was futile I said I'll wait in the hope that until 8.00 am if someone doesn't turn up for their 5 min slot, if I could be served. So from 7.35 am there was only 1 patient who was served. 7.40 to 7.45 am no one turned up. 7.45 to 7.50 no one turned up. About 7.49 am the health care assistant invited me from her cabin. I thanked her but she said she will not serve me but will be advising me about my communication with the receptionist. Here I wait to be served in the hope that there could be a gap, no one turns up but I'm waiting. Instead of taking my fasting blood test, the 2 staff are denying me this test, citing that blood test slots are only for 5 mins. I didn't argue about the 5 min slot, instead I sat there for another 15 mins and there was the gap but I didn't get served. I believe people need training for customer service and understand the seriousness of the matter, rather than computer says no. I'd definitely not recommend this practice where humans are not considerate, compassionate and helpful. This pharmacy has been crossed out of my list for any further dealings.

I came in to do some shopping the lady on the counter was helpful and friendly and I got what I needed. I will use this Pharmacy again.

My daughter is attending the local Uni, & came down with a bad case of tonsilitis, not being local and no doctor for her to see on campus, I phoned the pharmacy spoke to the pharmacist who was so incredibly lovely, told me to bring her in and he would be able to prescribe antibiotics once he assessed her. He was amazing, so helpful and kind, she was so poorly and she managed to get a prescription really fast without having to go to A & E, the service was brilliant, I wish they had places like this in Northampton, absolutely excellent.
