Review titled Bad practice, awful location and rude staff
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Chris - Posted on 13 December 2024
Why oh why would you put a pharmacy in such a bad location. A throughfare to the doctors practice with no practical space for collecting prescriptions. Let alone no waiting area for patients requiring injections, as the reason for my recent visitations. I should have learnt by my fisrt visit, but I believe in giving the benefit of doubt. Never again I may add. 2 appointments pre booked via the NHS app for my covid and Flu vaccinations. Twice been let down. First account was due to a shortage of Covid vaccine's. 2nd visit was again let down. I left feeling disgusted and disappointed. I was refused a Flu vaccine because of age discrimination, without basing it on medical information regarding patient health conditions. But to be completely disregarded without any enquiries for which I required the vaccine is disgusting and in my opinion very bad practice. I feel I should also mention the mannerism in which I was told. I would say rather rudely and in front of several other waiting customers.

Dear Chris, Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you've experienced during your recent visits to our pharmacy. Your feedback is very important, and I want to address each of your points. First and foremost, I am truly sorry that you felt the location of the pharmacy and the lack of a designated waiting area contributed to your dissatisfaction. We understand how important convenience and comfort are, especially when receiving vaccinations or other healthcare services, and we are always striving to improve. Regarding your experience with the Covid and Flu vaccinations, I deeply regret that we let you down twice. The shortage of Covid vaccines was beyond our control, and I understand how disappointing that must have been. As for the Flu vaccine, I apologize if you felt discriminated against or not given the appropriate attention regarding your specific health needs. I would like to clarify that we offer two types of flu vaccinations: one for under 65s and one licensed for individuals over 65, regardless of underlying medical conditions. This is in line with the current guidelines and is not intended to be discriminatory. I’m sorry if this distinction was not communicated clearly, and I assure you that we never intended to make you feel disregarded. I also regret that you felt our staff was rude. That is certainly not the level of customer service we aim to provide. I will personally look into this matter and ensure better training in communication and patient care going forward. I truly appreciate you giving us the benefit of the doubt initially, and I’m sorry that your trust in us has been broken. I would like to assure you that we are taking your feedback seriously and will work to make the necessary improvements. If you'd like to discuss this further or if there’s anything we can do to help you moving forward, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. We value our patients and want to ensure that your future experiences with us are positive. Warm Regards, Arun

Review titled 'Awful Practice' Should be shut down

by Disappointed customer - Posted on 15 November 2024
Excuses, Excuses! 2 appointments pre booked via the NHS app for my covid and Flu vaccinations. Twice been unable to fulfill the appointment, due to shortages of Covid vaccine on the first occasion. 2nd visit I was rejected for Flu vaccine because of age discrimination without any information regarding patient health conditions. If I wasn't eligible then I wouldn't have applied for it. But to be completely disregarded without any enquiries for which I required the vaccine is disgusting and in my opinion very bad practice.

Dear Customer, Thank you for your feedback, and I sincerely apologize for the frustration and disappointment you've experienced with your vaccination appointments. Regarding your first visit, the shortage in supply of the Covid vaccine was outside our control, and we were struggling to get hold of the stock at that time. I understand how disappointing this was, and we always try to manage these situations as best as we can by keeping our patients informed. For your second visit, I want to clarify that the decision not to offer the Flu vaccine was not based on age discrimination. There are two types of flu vaccinations: one for those under 65 and another for those over 65, as per current guidelines. Unfortunately, due to supply limitations, we only had the vaccine licensed for those over 65 available at that time. I sincerely apologize if this wasn't clearly communicated, and I regret that it led to any misunderstanding. We genuinely value your feedback and aim to offer the best care possible. If you'd like to discuss this further, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly. We appreciate your patience and hope to regain your confidence in our services. Kind regards, Arun

Review titled Much much better than Boots
Rated 5 stars out of 5

A huge thank you to you and your team! I am Type 1 diabetic and recently moved to your pharmacy from Boots Brunel. They were so chaotic it was madness. One prescription they would leave me without blood test strips, the next time no insulin, the next time no needles and on and on and on it went. I spent my life calling 111 for emergency prescriptions, because of their poor service. We take the NHS for granted in this country and people don't say thank you often enough, but so far you have been absolutely brilliant, so thank you!

Having arrived for a covid jab 15 minutes before my appointment at 5.55 and checked in by the reception I had to wait until 6.30 in their outside reception before being seen by the pharmacist It then took a further 15 minutes to organise the injection in their consulting room.

Review titled Poor advertisement
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Emergency situation and needed something from the pharmacy, it was 21:00 so didn’t think there would be any open. After looking on the NHS website, it read that this pharmacy was open until 22:30. I drove across Swindon and I got there to find it was closed & had been since 18:30. Poor advertisement, this needs to be updated.
