I am a Carer for various Patients who require medication. As a Care Nurse i collect medication for patient's as well as many other vital care duties. Out of 12 times i have collected medication just for one patient the prescription was short 7 times. The response as always from staff is "it may be in later or tomorrow" I ask can they call me or my office to let me know it is able to be collected. The staff say " No we don't call Carers or nurses or Nhs Nurses" every time i mention im a Care Nurse and cant leave my patients just to keep popping in to the chemist. they just shrug their shoulders like I'm a piece of rubbish and nothing important. I mentioned that i cant phone as i will be a the Christie hospital all day and cant use my phone as i am not allowed to leave my patient to make random phone calls to the chemist. Again "they just shrugged their shoulders" and said its company policy they dont phone Carers, nurses, doctors or nhs. Every one has to phone the chemist. I tried phoning them several times, guess what, they didn't answer the phone. Vincent Smith Pharmacy have no respect for anyone but themselves. Not even patients who are are having Cancer treatment. The sooner Vincent Smith Pharmacy get shut down or put in special measures and new management put in place the better. This pharmacy is a joke thinking the whole world revolves around them. They are the weakest link in a chain of NHS Healthcare system. My Fellow Nurses all have issues with this Pharmacy and their attitude. They always say "they too busy" Really, then employ more staff or take on volunteers, its not rocket science.
