    My husband was in Well Pharmacy this morning. His surname is not English. He has been asked to spell it - which he has done every time he has been asked. The surname had been spelled correctly as patient search had succeeded. When the surname was needed again, he has newly spelled it and ultimately he has been asked to write it down - as the member of staff had not bothered to do so the previous times. This has triggered general laughter among two members of staff (and the other customer present(, however it resulted in no apology or explanation about this lack of respect towards his person. He has left feeling ashamed and vulnerable, which should not be the expectation after attending a healthcare setting. As a healthcare workers ourselves, we are both highly unimpressed by this attitude and unprofessionalism which most definitely does not align with the NHS values.
