  1. Review titled Disappointing Pharmacy Experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 November 2024

I have visited this pharmacy several times and below statement combines most of my visits. I had an extremely disappointing experience during my recent visit to this pharmacy to collect a prescription and purchase over-the-counter medicine. Well, most of the staff is unprofessional, I was shocked by the rude behaviour of some employees towards vulnerable patients. They seemed more focused on being "right" than providing a reasonable resolution to concerns. Rather than helping or addressing the issues, they presented conflicting stories, which felt dismissive and disrespectful. The dispensers appeared to overstep their roles, acting more like doctors, often with an unprofessional and condescending attitude. This behavior is completely inappropriate, especially in a setting meant to prioritize patient care and comfort. The senior pharmacist, in particular, seemed to lack basic customer service skills. She failed to listen attentively to what I was trying to explain and instead dismissed my concerns with vague explanations, as if I lacked understanding. Her approach was frustrating and unhelpful, leaving me feeling undervalued as a customer. Additionally, I faced an issue purchasing an over-the-counter medicine. Initially, I was refused the purchase despite providing proof of a previous purchase of the same medicine from this very pharmacy. When they finally agreed to sell it, I was overcharged and not given a receipt. The pricing seemed arbitrary, as though it was an attempt to discourage me, but I reluctantly paid the extra amount. This experience left a lasting negative impression. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for patients was evident. I would not recommend this pharmacy unless significant improvements are made to staff training and overall customer service.

  2. Review titled Poorly stocked and non existent customer service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I booked myself in for a Covid vaccine jab via the NHS app and turned up on time at the pharmacy. I told the young lady at the counter why I was there and she looked confused and asked if I had a confirmation email for my appointment which I then showed her on my phone. She asked me to take a seat. A minute or so later a man came to me from behind the counter and spoke to me as well as another customer who had turned up for an appointment to tell us that they had no vials of vaccines and asked that we come back on Tuesday and he'll fit us in. I found this to be very disappointing as I'd taken the time off from work for this appointment and other than an very brief "sorry" there was no other explanation nor compensation from the pharmacy for our wasted time. Why are you displaying appointment times on the NHS app if you are ill-prepared? Now I remember why I don't use this pharmacy for prescriptions.
