Review titled Poor service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Mary Williams - Posted on 20 June 2023
I attend to collect medication for my uncle, the staff took 10 minutes to look for the package, when asked what the problem was, another staff replied that they do not have 20 mg of the tablet, she asked if she can cut 40mg into two, I agreed because it is needed urgently, I was asked to sit or come back, I returned in over 40 mins, same staff gave me the package sealed and the cut tablets in bottle with the leaflet separately not in a package, I asked her to put it in the same pack and staple it as I cannot take the tablets around openly like that, she opened the pack and added the tablet with the leaflet, she then said that where is my manners, I asked why she addressed me like that, the manager came out and supported her that I am shouting, that he saw everything on the camera, I felt humiliated. He was actually shouting at me to support his staff, A gentle man who is the pharmacist saw what happened and apologised to me and handed the package to me. I will never use the pharmacy again

Review titled Competent
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Small concerns, businesses and shops can turn over staff quite frequently but in the case of a Pharmacy, it's crucial that a team is competent. People go to Pharmacy's when they're at their weakest and most vulnerable. In short, they'd rather be somewhere else if their health permitted so, it's important that whoever is behind the counter, they are on top of things as regards who they're facing and what they're needs are both immediate and in the future. It's not fun being a Pharmacist anymore than it is to be a patient with chronic needs. Whinchat has undergone many changes through the years and some have not been for the good and personalities that come with certain prejudices are immediately noticeable and have an enormous impact on the confidence of patience. The current team is delightful to observe as they seamlessly flow through their work with little fuss or pretention, they know what they're there for and produce the goods every time. In other words, they are competent without any muss or fuss and one can be in and out in a matter of seconds in some cases knowing that all is being dealt with behind the scenes as well as in front and if I had a say (which I do not) I'd keep things the way they are at present but people will and do move on so, for the time being, my visits and the little time I spent with this team is and will be appreciated and I wish each and every one of them good fortune when they eventually move on, it will be someone else's good fortune to have them and our loss.
