   GP Practise referred me to an appointment with the pharmacist, as my need was acute but no GPs were available for 3 days. The pharmacist did not wash his hands, put his (presumably dirty) hands on my face to examine my eye, then made some notes while rubbing his nose and face around his eyes. I can't recommend the lack of basic hygene. Pharmacist then declined to prescribe anything saying he was worried about the risk of infection!! I ended up spending most of the rest of a frustrating day waiting at the Eye Hospital just to get some eye drops prescribed by a triage nurse practitioner. The GP system is broken, and pharmacists are inadequate as a substitute, leaving hospitals to pick up the mess.
