Review titled Particular female employee
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Laura pearson - Posted on 06 June 2024
When ever I get this one particular woman answer the phone she seems like her job is an inconvenience. Today I just got back from holiday and my very serious medication is due, I rang to see if some of my prescriptions had been sent because I like to either give ample notice to prepare my prescription or if anything is wrong I have time to rectify the issue with the doctors. The doctors set up my medication in a certain way but this lady wants me to ring my doctors to rearrange my medication to suit her. I was asked for my number for the text service, I rang back just to ask what it all entailed and I got the same woman. She went on to say I’m not there only customer and I ring once every week like I was doing something wrong and put her work load on to me, I appreciate I’m not the only customer but sometimes I can only collect in the morning because of a hospital appointment or I’ve ran out and desperately need them by the time the repeat is sent as there is no over lap in my medication. She was clearly annoyed that I rang up to see if the prescription is there, this particular employee made me feel like I was doing something wrong by checking and was very rude. When I asked for her name she unprofessionally hung up on me. I don’t want a generic answer like all the others this lady needs retraining, I know who she is too look at when I collect my medication. I shouldn’t feel like an inconvenience for her doing her job. I said I’ll pop in this afternoon when I rang at 10am I understand I’m not the only person and that she made very clear but I don’t expect rudeness for just seeing if my prescription has arrived if yes great if not it takes ages to sort with doctors. Hanging up on a customer and no I wasn’t being abusive I calmly said can I take your name please then the phone went dead. Unacceptable behaviour

Review titled Uncaring customer service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Chris Woolley - Posted on 01 February 2024
The first thing I will say is that this is not my first experience with this chemist. My doctor sent a prescription to the chemist from his surgery I decided to enquire on Thursday regarding the progress and was immediately lied to. I decided to them ask regarding my other order and was asked to wait, which I did and nobody came back after five minutes, so I hung up and called again and was then told I'd been cut off however my phone was still connected another lie. The staff fall back position is it would appear to me is lie lie and lie again.

Dear Mr Woolley, Our team work hard to provide a reliable, friendly and efficient service in what are currently very challenging times, and I was very sorry to see your post and learn of your experience. Whilst no-one in the team would deliberately lie to any customer, I acknowledge your comments and have asked our branch manager to investigate and take any necessary steps to ensure the best possible service is being provided when patients telephone the pharmacy. We do also provide a text service, where customers can sign up to receive a text when their prescription is ready for collection, if this would be helpful? Please accept my apologies that you have had cause to complain. Your sincerely, Andrea Smith, Pharmacy Superintendent.

Review titled Unhelpful practice

I am caught up in the unfortunate debacle of the almost complete lack of ADHD medications, with no known end as I understand. I am shocked at how unsympathetic the staff including the pharmacist are with what is an extremely distressing and frustrating experience, for them and the patients. I’m not asking for them to magic up the medication, but I would like someone to understand that this is an unprecedented experience that is extremely worrying, and the not knowing when it will be resolved is affecting people’s mental health including mine. They are my nominated pharmacy and a little more help and information would at least show that they understand, and not treat me like I’m an annoyance.

Review titled Rubbish Service staff lacks of basic training
Rated 1 star out of 5
by ForKiran - Posted on 03 May 2023
today i went to bj wilson pharmacy to get my daughter’s medicine. Staff member took prescription and asked do you pay for your daughter’s prescription? i reminded her dateofbirth is written on the prescription and its for kid. She asked me to come back after 15 minutes, when i went back their to collect medicines then same person who took prescription said they don’t have both medicines in stock and wasted my 15 minutes. Staff lack of training and basic customer service skills, why could they not check stock when collected prescription (dental)? If mistake happen they should apologise rather than blaming customer, you left pharmacy otherwise she could have updated us about out of stock. Recommendation: Staff should have basic customer service skills to work in pharmacy such as check details on prescription and from dateofbirth they can easily tell it is for 5 or 6 years old, rather than asking do you pay? Staff should check stock when collect prescription rather than wasting customers time and update them when they come back to collect medicine. In case of anything goes wrong, they should have basic customer skills to apologise rather than blaming customer you left pharmacy otherwise they could have updated. Hope this feedback will help them to improve service and it will help other customers as it happened second time with us.

We are sorry to learn of your experience as the team put a lot of effort into providing a friendly, professional and efficient service. We are currently recruiting and training new staff and we acknowledge your comments, although we do try to provide this level of service when we can. Whist not excusing what happened, the pharmacy team have experienced a significantly increased workload recently, compounded by the two May bank holiday weekends and they are doing their best to catch up and keep on top of the workload. That said, we are sorry that we have fallen short of the high standards we set ourselves. Our branch manager (Mrs Kauser) would be happy to talk to you about your experience, if you feel this would help? She can be contacted at the pharmacy on telephone number: 01332 763331. Please accept my sincere apologies that you feel let down by the service you received on this occasion. Mrs A Smith, Pharmacy Superintendent.
