I ordered a repeat prescription via Dr surgery website. Went in to chemist on 31oct to pick up medicines as I usually did and was told they had only received the electronic prescription on 30 Oct and that it wouldn't be ready for collection until 2 nov. It was ready but the date on medicines was 30 Oct which seems odd when it wasn't ready until 2nov! Also I complained that I had been without one of the medicines for diabetes because of the extra wait and was told I should have told them !

Good afternoon Helen, We apologise the experience at the pharmacy was not up to your expected standards. In regards to your query as to why the prescription label date was 30/10/24, this is because we received the prescription on that day as my colleague let you know. We typically receive prescriptions electronically, print and generate labels that day then place orders for stock required which can take up to 3 days to arrive from suppliers which was why you were asked to return on 02/11/24. My colleague had suggested had you let them know that you were running out and needed it urgently we could have given you what we may have had in stock at the time, if we had any, and asked you to return for the remaining amount.
