    The staff are always helpful and give you as much advice as they possibly can. Any questions I have asked about anything medically related they have always helped me with them. I had a cold with a sore throat when asking for something for she knew I was on medication for blood pressure advised what she could but if it continued to go to the medical practice

    As much as I see the need to have a local pharmacy and we do as the village is getting so much bigger / I feel that there’s lots of room for improvement. The shop is tiny and very much over crowded with clutter it actually makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. The plastic Covid screen is no longer needed and basically ‘in the way’ There is no privacy as the customer area is so small everyone can hear private discussions NHS posters are very repetitive. I have been questioned several times in the past when buying over the counter meds which made me feel awkward

    Thank you very much for sparing some time to reflect on your experience with us in the past. Yes, unlike the supermarket/ big chain pharmacies our pharmacy is tiny like most other independent community pharmacy which is fit for the purpose, but it is small especially our shop floor. Any potential for expansion is more than happy for us to consider as and when it is available and financially viable. I am so sorry to hear that our shop floor wasn't clutter free. Error is human and we as a team are always humble to learn from our mistakes. At least a day/date/time of your visit would give us an opportunity to look into the incidents you have experienced. Our typical service users include severely immunocompromised, pregnant and vulnerable patients. We are keeping our Perspex screen neither as a clutter nor just to protect us, the pharmacy team but also our patients from Covid and also from any airborne conditions as we have experienced the benefit through Covid and after. Our standards are built upon five principles; dignity & respect, compassion, be included, responsive care & support and wellbeing. Our motto is to treat our customers as King. We endeavor to keep our patient's privacy & dignity to the maximum and our fully functional consultation room is exclusively for our patients. Regarding the NHS posters we closely monitor the possibilities of having a variety of leaflets, but much of those leaflets are mandatory and conditions targeted by the NHS, potentially beneficial for the public. Next time feel free to ask for any extra/different leaflets you want so that we can print it out for you while you're waiting. Our community's health & well being is our aim and target. Regarding the medicines from the counter, I'm so sorry about your feelings about the questions we have asked before selling the medicines over the counter and I'm also understanding that it happened to you several times. We are proud to take every opportunity to be a brand ambassador for NHS and for our society. Unfortunately your name, day & time is missing from your feedback which inhibit our possibilities to look into this incidents. When it comes to certain categories of drugs including medications with abuse potential we have to abide with the NHS law & ethics strictly and we as a team cannot compromise on that. Yes, by asking certain questions we might be loosing our sales, but patient safety is first and patient care is paramount. Some times the customer can afford to buy a product, or they themselves may be qualified to assess their own situation but it is our duty to make sure 'right medication for the right patient and the right indication' after having certain questions; that is the law and our patient safety starts from there.

    When I visited earlier in the year I didn’t have to wait long at all to be served by the pharmacists. Therefore I think this is an excellent pharmacy with very helpful members of staff that I saw help several people whilst I was there. I am very pleased to have this essential service in the local community that my family can use frequently.

    It is vital to the community and without it a lot of people would struggle to get medication or medical advice. They where understanding on my social anxiety and worked with me to make sure I could get my medication without panicking. The team always made me feel welcome and comfortable. Nothing is ever too big or too small

    My husband and I have just recently returned from Italy, where my husband got rather sunburnt. He suddenly experienced prickly heat which progressed to what he described as very painful hot needle stabs all over his torso. He is a very strong man so for him to complain of such severe discomfort was significant. It was 5.25pm and I rushed off to Wynyard Pharmacy for advice and any help they could give. I was given 100% aloe Vera gel and reassured this would help. It certainly did- it worked within minutes and was a huge relief to my husband. I must say that not only was the practical advice and assistance we received just what we needed but the kindness and caring manner in which it was given was so appreciated!
