About
Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is an independent charitable organisation. We work in the community to support older people, their families and carers, by providing a number of services to enable living at home safely and independently. Services include FREE information and advice, practical support and social opportunities.
We actively promote the well-being of people in later life through campaigning, influencing the media and by fundraising.

We provide FREE and CONFIDENTIAL Information and Advice. This includes subjects such as; health and social care, housing, welfare benefit entitlements, consumer, transport and leisure activities. Our Community Wardens keep in regular contact, making welfare checks and visits to do small errands. Home Support Service offers to assist with tasks around the home, for example cleaning, laundry and ironing. Handyperson and Home Safety Checks can fit grab rails, move furniture and carry out small jobs about the home to reduce the risk of accidents and promote safety. Day Services and Friendship Clubs provide opportunities to meet other people and take part in a range of activities such as quizzes, crafts, games, entertainment, eat a cooked meal, sometimes day trips. Volunteers offer their time to individuals for one to one support and friendship Sharing Time by making home visits and phone calls. Some services are charged, others are free.
