About

Age UK Herefordshire and Worcestershire have been established for over 20 years, providing support and services to older people, their families, friends and carers. As part of a Federation, we are able to draw upon a wealth of experience and expertise to ensure older people in Worcestershire and Herefordshire have services and information tailored to suit their needs. Not only do we directly deliver services, but we also work in partnership with other organisations to enable clients to make choices relevant to their circumstances. We are constantly updating our knowledge in the provision of local services and keep up to date with the latest benefits, grants and issues facing older people.

Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire offer the following services:- Our Information & Advice service can help you on a range of queries, such as: social care, your income, tax queries, your home, legal issues, form filling, wellbeing and signposting to other organisations.- Our Dementia Services offer Information, advice and support for people living with memory loss or dementia, as well as their family and friends. We also run two centres across the counties. - Our Veterans Service, in association with the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, is supporting the quality of life and wellbeing of veterans and their carers in Herefordshire & Worcestershire.- Our Help at Home service is available to anyone over the age of 50 who’s looking for regular, reliable support. We employ more than 60 Help at Home Assistants who visit their clients on a regular basis. We can’t provide personal care (such as help with dressing, feeding, medication, washing and toileting) but we can help with things like, companionship, general housework, shopping and much more. - Our Independence at Home service is short term practical support to help you remain independent at home. We offer practical support for adults in Worcestershire to improve their independence, health and wellbeing at home, while reducing the need for non medical health and care support.- Our footcare and podiatry service offers regular appointments to maintain good foot health. If you are aged 50 or over and live in Worcestershire or Ross-on-Wye (or the surrounding areas of Ross-on-Wye), the service is available for you.- Our Training Solutions service is a specialist health and social care training provider.Our training team provides skills training tailored to suit your individual needs. We specialise in training such as dementia care and manual handling and offer mandatory and recommended health and social care courses.
