About

Amy’s Care is a Community Interest Company which provides care, respite and holidays for people living with dementia and their carers.

The main ethos of the company is to provide social inclusion for everyone. Amy’s Care organises and runs social clubs, often from community buildings, where anyone is welcome to attend or drop in. The difference with our clubs is that there are also fully qualified staff to give support to people living with dementia, mobility or age related problems to allow them to access and enjoy all the clubs have to offer.

The clubs are a safe place for carers to leave their loved ones; comfortable in the knowledge that they are enjoying a social and stimulating environment allowing the carer much needed respite. The clubs are often a really important part of someone’s care plan and often allows people to remain at home rather than moving to residential care.

From young to old for 5 minutes to a full day, the kettle is always on and if the group is out and about they will leave a note saying where they are. People may want to come and volunteer, come for the craic, with or without someone they care for or look at arranging care for a loved one.
