Service details

Community pharmacist offering a free and confidential emergency contraceptive service. The service is open to any female (including under 16's) who needs emergency contraception within 72 hours of having unprotected sexual intercourse. The pharmacist who provides this service must have undertaken relevant training which means that you will not be able to access emergency contraception if the trained pharmacist is not on duty. Please ring the pharmacy first before you go to enquire if emergency contraception is available on that day. If not available, there are other pharmacists in the area that also provide free emergency contraception.
