About
Braintree Community Transport are a working partnership between Braintree District Council and Essex County Council providing transport for those living in our district who are eldery, frail, vulnerable, have a disability, are isolated, have a mobility difficulty or whose needs are not met by existing public transport services.
Volunteers undertake the majority of requests either in one of our six fully accessible 12 seater miniuses or in their own vehicle.

Dial a rideDial-a-ride is a door-to-door demand responsive service for people who have a physical disability and are unable to access conventional public transport.Minibus hireBraintree Community Transport has six fully accessible minibuses which will transport 12 seated passengers. There are removable seats to accommodate up to 2 wheelchairs per minibus.Shopper busBraintree District residents can benefit from seven bus services in the district, which will provide a convenient, personal service for passengers.Each service is fully accessibleSocial car scheme This service is operated by volunteer drivers who kindly offer their time.
