About
Carers’ Hub supports unpaid carers living in Lambeth or caring for someone who lives in the Borough. We work directly with young carers from the age of 5 upwards and adult carers, providing tailored 1-2-1 support, social and wellbeing activities, peer support groups tailored to dementia, mental health, learning disability and young carers. We also deliver first aid training and provide free legal clinics through our partnerships, and run the Lambeth Carers Card scheme which connects carers to information and resources to support their caring role.
What can Carers’ Hub help with?
We run a mix of peer support groups, coffee mornings and social activities each month, allowing you to share your experience of caring, make friends, and develop new skills. Different carers face different challenges, and that’s why some of our groups are specialised. We run groups tailored to young carers, young adult carers, dementia carers, mental health carers and learning disability carers.
We provide 1-2-1 support, tailored to you - this could be around finances, managing at home, dealing with stress, staying healthy or your education or something different.
Fun, relaxation and friendship are important, so we offer opportunities to take time out from caring. For young carers we run a range of fun, interesting and educational activities every school holiday and for adult carers we run a monthly programme of activities including coffee mornings, social outings, information sessions and training opportunities.
