Bromley Changes offers a range of treatment and support services for young people aged up to 18 who have concerns about their drug or alcohol use and are residents or have links in the borough of Bromley.

Service offers:

• Confidential advice and information for young people up to the age of 18

• Support to help you make informed decisions about your drug and alcohol use

• Support to help you cut down or stop using drugs or alcohol

• Assessment of your specific needs

• One-to-one sessions and group work

• Appointments at a convenient location

• Gateway to other services

• Drop-in services across the borough (please contact us for more details)

• Advice and information for parents and carers

• Male and female workers

There are also some new roles on the team which have improved the ways we can reach young people and their families.

• A youth criminal justice substance use worker- who has specialist knowledge to support young people in trouble with the law – from early prevention to working with young people offending in the CJS.

•  Part of her role is to discuss and explore with young person the linked risk taking of using drugs and alcohol and committing offences and reducing overall risk of their behaviours, also delivers training to professionals on all things substance use and criminal justice related.

A family  and carers worker attached to team- provides advisory and support service for parents whose children are misusing substances – running virtual parent support groups and offer of 1-1 work, with aim of promoting confident, drugs aware  parents

• Hidden Harm worker-  offer of support for children age 5-18, support  for those affected by someone elses substance use a parent or carer, sibling. The young person doesn’t have to live with the adult they have been affected by but this is a really important early intervention service offered: tramua informed practise working at building emotional resilience young people and children  to process and heal from challenging life circumstances or cope with reality of living with an adult substance user.
