Service details

The specialist drug service provides a wide range of services for people (aged 18 and over experiencing substance problems including their family, friends and others who may be affected. Advice, information and access to a wide variety of medical and non-medical treatment options are available for people affected by both drugs and alcohol. The specialist drug service offers confidential access to services including:

• Confidential advice

• Help to minimise harm including a needle exchange

• Screening and immunisation for blood borne viruses

• Prescribed treatment

• Aftercare and programmes of activities

• Support with education and employment

• Nurse led Wound Care Clinics

• A Shared Care Scheme in partnership with local GPs
