About
We are a nurse led service that assess, treat, manage and offer advice for people, and their carers, with bladder and bowel problems in the south east of Essex. We provide a local accessible service to reduce the incidence of bladder and bowel dysfunction, helping people to remain as independent as possible. We see children from 4 years upwards, holding specialist clinics, visit schools and care homes. We provide support and training for thoses who work with people with continence problems. People can also be seen at home by District Nurses for a non specialist assessment.

Target group
Men, women, or children over the age of 4 years with a diagnosis of bladder and/or bowel dysfunction, or with symptoms of bladder and/or bowel incontinence. Adults requiring procedures such as clean intermittent self-catheterisation and bowel irrigation.
Referral method
Written referrals are accepted from hospital doctors/nurse specialists, GPs, district nurses, health visitors, school nurses, social care and allied health care professionals.
