About

Depden Care Farm is run by the Millennium Farm Trust (MFT)

A registered charity, established in 1996. The initiative for the Millennium Farm Trust came from an enthusiastic group of people with learning difficulties and disabilities. Since our farming operation started in the year 2000, many people have benefited from MFT’s activities.

Good Work! Cleaning out the goats!

There is a wide variety of skills to choose from…

The allotment and vegetable garden areas are where we grow our vegetables and plants. The polytunnel provides somewhere sheltered to get the seeds started early and also offers a welcome warm habitat for some more exotic plants & ourselves during the colder months.

As well as learning about animals and plants Farm Helpers can contribute to the continued growth of the farm by taking part in team projects such as fence building, creating animal enclosures and all the general repairs required when running a successful farm. Skills can also be learnt with the use of farm machinery.

We love to care for native animals and smaller helpers on the farm in the natural environment and as such good conservation skills surround us in abundance.
