Headway Somerset provides a range of services and support for survivors of acquired brain injury and their relatives.

Hospital Liaison Service - supports people with ABI in Yeovil District Hospital, Musgrove Park Hospital and the Somerset Neuro Rehabilitation Centre (SNRC).  Contact: 07514753384 or 07561032329.

Rehabilitation Service - a safe and supportive environment which enables individuals to re-learn skills that may have been affected after a brain injury.  An opportunity to develop person-centred outcomes through cognitive and social rehabilitation activities and peer support. Centres are based in community venues in Bridgwater, Taunton, Yeovil, West Camel and Henton (nr Wells).  Support can also be provided as Outreach in the home.  Funding support can be available for individuals through Somerset County Council Adult Social Care.  Contact Somerset Direct 0300 123 2224 to arrange a Needs Assessment.  People can also fund this service through Direct Payments or privately.  Referral form and details are available on the website.

Making Headway Buddying Project - Trained volunteers who support people with ABI to take part in community and social activities.

Relatives Support - Support and information via Zoom Education sessions and individually.

Talking Headway Information and Support Line - 01823 215014 staffed Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 3pm.  Open to anyone in Somerset with an ABI, their families, friends, work colleagues or any professional seeking information about ABI.  As part of our Talking Headway service Headway Somerset are hosting regular social sessions for people with, and affected by brain injury in Somerset.  These take place in coffee shops across the County, please check the website or call us for more details, dates venues and time.
