About PALS

The Patient Advice and Liaison Service, known as PALS, has been introduced to ensure that the NHS listens to patients, their relatives, carers and friends, and answers their questions and resolves their concerns as quickly as possible.

PALS also helps the NHS to improve services by listening to what matters to patients and their loved ones and making changes, when appropriate.

Information

The service aims to:

• Offer on the spot help and advice

• Provide information about local health services and support groups

• Answer questions relevant to the Trust and the service it provides

• Help contact other organisations including independent advocacy services

• Listen to our patients carers and relatives to improve patient care

• Give guidance on how to access the NHS Complaints Procedure

PALS are available from 10:00am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours an answer phone/message system is available.
