About

JEMS is a Jewish Care support group for people with Multiple Sclerosis and their partners. JEMS has been running since May 2008 and meets monthly in the Edgware area to offer support, to share knowledge and offer friendship to each other on an informal basis.

Guest speakers often come to meetings to provide up to date advice and guidance on Multiple Sclerosis. We meet both physically and virtually and the numbers are normally 15+ per session. JEMS would welcome other Jewish people with MS in order to reach as many people as possible.

There are 2 groups at Jewish Care now running virtually:

Physical Disability Carers Support Group has been running for several years.

Previously meeting monthly at Golders Green to support carers, to offer friendship to each other, share experiences and give advice.

We are now meeting virtually every 3 weeks on a Tuesday to support carers in the community. The group is facilitated by two community support workers from 12.30 - 2pm.

Parkinson's Wellbeing Group has been running for over a year.

We welcome Jewish people with Parkinson's and their family carers.

It is a social group with a guest speaker and runs on the first Monday of the month from 2pm until 3.30.

Usually based in Golders Green we are presently meeting virtually during Covid.
