About
Since 1981 Mothers for Mothers has supported families affected by Maternal mental illness across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset. We offer support to women during pregnancy and until their youngest child attends school.
Our Usual Services:
Our Helpline offers phone, text and online support five days a week (10am to 9pm), including weekly support calls at a pre-arranged time.
Friends, family and healthcare professionals can also use it for support, information and referrals. Our Helpline is often the first step for a mother in accessing our other services.
We offer Home Visits for women who are too unwell to access services and activities outside of their home.
We have an Art Psychotherapy and Counselling Service.
We run weekly Peer Support Groups women and pre-school children throughout the year. We also run antenatal peer support and wellness in pregnancy groups.
Monday takes place at Staple Hill Childrens Centre,
Tuesday at the Beehive Centre,
Wednesday at New Fulford Family Centre in Hartcliffe and also the Friends Meeting House, Weston Super Mare,
Thursday at St Francis Church in Bedminster.
Other activities and trips are available through our peer support groups.
Zoom Antenatal support groups take place on Wednesdays at 7pm.
