The Abstinence-Based Treatment Service provides non-residential structured day care for North Tyneside residents (aged 18+) wishing to become abstinent from all mind altering substances, including drugs and alcohol. With a 12 Step basis, this programme offers twelve weeks of facilitated mutual aid, counselling, group work and workshops with recovery from addiction as its core ethos. Individuals accessing the service can access up to twelve months of continuing care after graduation in order to help sustain their recovery in the community and offering access opportunities to employment, volunteering and peer mentoring.
