Sexual assault referral centres offer medical, practical and emotional support to anyone who has been sexually assaulted or raped. They have specially trained pediatrician / Forensic Nurse Examiners (FNE) and support workers to care for you.

Service details
The Northern Paediatric Forensic Network provides paediatric forensic assessments for children and young people up to the age of 16 years in whom there are allegations or concerns about sexual abuse/assault. This service is provided for children from Northumbria, Cleveland and Durham Police Force areas. It is a 24/7 service, led by Paediatric Consultants and supported by Paediatric Forensic Specialist Nurses.
