About

PASIC provide emotional, practical, financial and social support for families of children and young people with cancer in the East Midlands. The charity has support workers at Nottingham Children’s Hospital and Leicester Royal Infirmary. Offering support groups, a listening ear, signposting, grants for families struggling to make ends meet and fun activities. PASIC help reduce isolation, increase self-confidence and strengthen the family unit through free activities and trips for all the family.

Target group

Families of children and young people facing cancer in the East Midlands, including children and young people receiving treatment or palliative care, as well as those up to three years post treatment

Further information

Services PASIC provide:• monthly support group and support on the ward• financial assistance to families experiencing difficulties as a result of caring for a child with cancer• social activities - organised activities and days out for families of a child with cancer

Referral method

Self-referral, also direct contact with the PASIC Coordinator in clinic or on the wards
