Description of service

A multi-disciplinary team of psychiatric doctors, centre-based and community nurses, social workers and administrators. It specialises in multi-agency work with substance users, including those who have mental health problems. The service provided is free and confidential to clients who use drugs and/or alcohol, their partners, relatives or carers and aims to provide a safe, effective assessment and treatment to reduce harm from drug and alcohol use in the Airedale district. Provides drug harm reduction services. HIV testing, pre- and post-test counselling and information on safer sex and safer drug use available. Needle exchange.
