Description of service

The service provides care and support of children and families infected and affected with HIV, in the clinical setting (outpatients and inpatients) and in the home. Telephone support is also offered as needed.

Clinics are held monthly at both the Hallamshire Hospital and at the Sheffield Children's Hospital out-patient department.

The service also provides care, support and follow up to babies born to mothers infected with HIV. Children born to HIV Positive parents are also referred to us for screening.
