Sexual assault referral centres offer medical, practical and emotional support to anyone who has been sexually assaulted or raped. They have specially trained pediatrician / Forensic Nurse Examiners (FNE) and support workers to care for you.

The South Yorkshire CSAAS (Child Sexual Assault Assessment Service) is part of the Child Assessment Unit at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
The CSAAS provides a child friendly environment for 0 – 16 year olds from across South Yorkshire who have experienced sexual assault or rape. The CSAAS is open 7 days a week and accepts referrals from social care and police partners.
Forensic examination can be carried out by specially trained doctors who are also able to make recommendations for ongoing services and support to other agencies as appropriate.
