Service details

Talkshop is a specialist advice and information service for young people aged between 13 and 19 years old (up to 25 depending on circumstances). Based at Sale Waterside, our aim is to support the needs of young people through offering a variety of services in a young person friendly environment. The Talkshop staff team consists of qualified youth workers who offer a non-judgemental service to young people across the borough.

The Talkshop operates a drop in service Monday-Friday where young people can pop in to speak to a youth worker at their own discretion. We also have need specific sessions where young people can access for support around a particular issue. We have a number of group sessions available to young people as well as offering one to one support sessions with a youth worker, depending on the nature of their needs. Some of the issues our youth workers can offer support around include healthy relationships, family breakdowns, bullying, sexual health, sexuality, anger, self harm, depression, homelessness drugs and alcohol mis-use. Where Talkshop are unable to offer appropriate support we are able to signpost young people on to other agencies and local services.
